College life in the 80's

In the fall of 1981 Princess Diana married Prince Charles and the space shuttle Columbia had just taken it's first flight. College in Memphis, TN was very nice. the leaves just starting to change colors and the weather  is beginning to get colder. I stop every morning at my brothers frat house where he lives and where I also park my car. Walking around campus the building are all made out of brick. However some building have big pillars in the front and are panted in a pearly white color. Most of my classes are in big auditorium much like a big lecture hall. The Professor walks around the room while lecturing to all of us. He also goes back to the front of the room to write on the black chalk board and underlines the important topics he is going over. After class is over I head over to the library to look up research for my final paper. Since the internet is just vaguely being mention and not out in the open for everyone to use, my research takes much longer than I would like. After my school day is over I head back over to my brothers frat house, where I am rushing, and start help getting the house ready for another party. The school week has ended and the weekend begins.

Food Ad

I believe that the most effective ads are the ones that stick in the consumers head. For example it could be a funny commercial, a catchy jingle, or maybe even a phrase that is said over and over again in a certain way that when ever it is said the company or product is brought to the mind of the consumer.

This is an older but more memorable Old Spice ad that is both appealing to men and women. In the commercial the man is talking to the women about how their "man" could smell like him and how all the activities he is doing make him smell manly and an attractive sent for women. The ad is a bit manipulating because just because you use this particular body wash does not mean you will be able to do all of these thing that are done in the ad or even be attractable by all women.

Ecological Footprint

In order to support my life style it would take 5.2 earths for me to live and I would be taking up 23.3 global acres of earths productive area.  A footprint you leave on earth is how we can indicate how many resources we use in our life time. Much of the resources we use in our footprint are raw and natural resources. This means that most of the resources we use can not replace. Also the more we use these resources the less we will have later and the more we do not recycle the worse shape our planet will be in for the generations to come. I know that I could probably recycle more. I do recycle when I am around school or places that have recycling bins. However at home I do not recycle at all. But, I do reuse water bottles I also do not use paper or styrofoam plates. Another thing I could try to be better at is turning things off when I am not using them or not in the room. Other than those things I would have to say I am environmentally friendly.
